Everybody is familiar with static electricity ,because we can see,hear even feel the shock caused by it.When the air is dry ,especailly in winter ,a person is probably hurt by static electricity,because when we wear clothes made of chemical fibre,static electricity is easily created by the friction between our skin and clothes ,the electric charge(电荷)piles up in our body ,and because the air is dry ,the charge can't be conducted through it ,and when we touch an object made of metal,then the charge is suddenly released and conducted to the metal ,you will be struck by the static electricity along with a sound of ZAP !
In order to protect us from the hurting of static electricity ,we should learn to release the charge ,first,we should keep the air wet,this can ensure the air is wet enough to conduct the static electricity in your body,the second ,before we touch the objects made of metal ,we should use a little piece of metal such as a key to touch the object first ,to let the static electricity be released through the key ,this will protect you from hurting by static electricity.
Although static electricity is very annoying in our personal life ,but it is very useful in the industry field such as printing ,dust-cleaning and so on.
So we should maximize the benefits of static electricity and minimize the harms caused by it.
