for sb/sth这是搭配,以前我也觉得for doing sth.是不是可以把doing sth当成名字,这样不可以的.do sth 这就是一个动作,只能用to do sth.
你可以说成
the singers are singing for money,
the singers are singing for the poor children.
B. to raise,因为一般情况下用【动词不定式】来表示某人做某事的【目的】，这里就是；
翻译：他们唱歌为了能给穷苦孩子们筹集一些钱。

表目的 是用 to do 而不是 for doing、
