A Main Traffic Problem and the Solutions to It
As we all know, the volume of traffic is growing at a surprising rate in our country. In big cities, such as Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the situation of traffic is even worse. It is reported that the continuoly increasing new cars in these cities come out on the road day by day, which has caused a big problem, the traffic jams.Everyday, especiall during rush hours, the traffic jams are everywhere.different kinds of cars, one by one, fill up the streets. There is even on room for walk. It's quite often that people are late for work or school thanks to the traffic jams. But to our great delight, our government has realized the problem and has been taking some measures to solve it.For example, more and more roads are being built, the subways have been put into use in big cities, like Beijing,Shanhai and Guangzhou.Besides, when going out, people are encouraged to take a bus or underground instead of driving a car, which can lighten the pressure of the transportation. What's more,we can cut down the traffic jams by improving our city tranportation system.

真懒!明明自己可以办到的而且回答问题的人的作文写的怎么样?我想好不到哪里去,他们看上的是你的分数!!!真是的

The traffic situation in China is something of a mystery. Everyday when I catch the bus in Guangzhou I am amazed as to how the traffic even manages to move, let alone functioning. However I was interested to hear one of my students tell me an interesting statistics, 300 people are killed on the roads in China everyday. This is the biggest road accident death toll in the world. I don’t think it is something China can be proud of, and something should be done about it! From my observation there appears to be a number of issues that are related to the statistics.
Firstly; the road rules do they exist? If so what are they? And if they exist obviously people are not in the slightest bit interested in abiding by them. Therefore it can be said that the law is not being enforced and people are not even aware that they are doing something wrong. It seems to be an education problem; people need to be educated as to the laws of the road, as well as a strict enforcement of them. It is not uncommon to see a motorbike riding on the pedestrian footpath, or a car going up the wrong way of the street, or even cars blatantly driving through red lights at an intersection.
Secondly; the concept of “Giving Way” seems not to exist in China. Do the Chinese Road Rules mention the term “To Give Way”? The only time sometime gives way is when he or she knows that they are about to hit the other car and then it is more like an emergency stop! This method obviously worked in the past when only a few cars existed, but now it causes major problems. The situation here in China is that all traffic will just enter onto the road and any traffic on the main road is then forced to suddenly come to a screaming halt or swerve into the next lane to avoid having a serious accident, thus causing further problems for other traffic behind on the main road. This again results into a huge ‘bottleneck’ and everyone comes to grinding halt or standstill, or even worse someone touché another car!
Thirdly; let’s look at the buses. Who trains the bus drivers? Their method of driving is something out of the Dark Ages. I was shocked to see how they place the vehicle into neutral at a certain speed and then just sit on the brake. This is not only totally dangerous, as the passengers have to hold onto something for dear life as the bus lurches forward every time the driver presses the brake, but also it would be costing the bus companies thousands of RMB in brake maintenance every year!
Fourthly; it is my understanding that most of the large cities in China have a traffic problem. Looking at how Guangzhou has tried to solve this problem is by building more roads and introducing road regulations. The only problem with this is that the more roads you build, the more cars people use, and when you place restrictions on the use of certain roads then you are forcing all the traffic in one direction and to use the same roads, thus creating a bigger problem. When you build more major roads, the secondary or subsidiary roads are forgotten and not used.
I was amazed when I first came to Guangzhou as to the number of roads built on top of each other, and how unattractive it looks for the city. “Well, Guangzhou is an old city and there is no space”. Well, Tian He is not an old district, yet there are motorways and major roads running all through it. London is an “old city” yet it does not have huge concrete monstrosities all over it. As I mentioned before, the use of smaller roads should be encouraged-linking roads. So not everyone is forced to use the same main road at once and thus causing a logistical nightmare. A car is status symbol in China, the more wealth that people make they will want to show their success by buying a car. Therefore the problem is going to get much worse. The traffic and transport problems need to be addressed soon rather than later. Let’s hope some forward thinking is done and the cities of China are great places to live in.

aloarming是什么? 是alarming吧?
The past two decades have seen a continuous and rapid increase in heavy traffic globally. Certainly there are many reasons contributing detrimentally to the problem. Serious as it is, it has aroused a worldwide attention —— particularly in China all parts sharing a combination of responsibilities are sparing no efforts to tackle the thorny issue with many effective measures.
The problems in relation to the heavy traffic vary from traffic congestion, a growing number of traffic accidents to air pollution and people’s disease in the wake of it. In large cities commuters are usually involved into traffic jams, spending additional hours on buses. Moreover, repair shops are always been engaged with coming orders. In addition, people always complain about the atmosphere over cities’ sky which sends more to the hospitals.
To analyze, these problems are mainly caused by two reasons. On the one hand, traditional public service can hardly meet the increasing traffic requirement. On such cases, we have to wait a long time for the means of transports and the packed buses and trains force many into private cars. On the other hand, more cars begin to appear on the roads when they are no longer luxuries for most people, which drive the crowded roads more unacceptable.
However, the current situation is likely to change in the near future provided that positive approaches are put into place. To begin with, the government is managing to promote the facilities of public transport, widening the roads and providing buses and trains more comfortable and frequent. Next, laws and regulations for high tax rate of private cars are on the stage of discussion. The end but not the least, the media and educational system are dedicating mutually to the awareness of public morality, encouraging more people to give up the freedom of cars.
With so many positive and creative measures and the efforts from both the authority and individuals, I am convinced the touchy issue today would soon turn to a new appearance.
